Nightlife in Pretoria

Hatfield is a popular area for students, with many bars and clubs located within walking distance of The Fields and the University of Pretoria.

The Social Club has both indoor and outdoor seating where you can have a great meal or drinks with friends and also enjoy the nightclub. Visit their Facebook page. They are open Tuesday to Saturday.

ZanZou Bar & Lounge, called affectionately as The Zou is situated at 525 Jan Shoba, Hatfield and is a vibey and classy night club open on Wednesdays to Sunday from 7:30pm to 4:00am. The vibe is dance and the energy is youth. Check out their website

One popular spot is Time Square in Menlyn Maine, which features a variety of restaurants and cafes, as well as a casino and theatre. Another great option is The Hazelwood Food Market, which takes place every Saturday and features a range of food stalls and live music.

The animals can be observe up close while learning about their behaviours and conservation efforts. The zoo also has a number of exhibits that showcase South African wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, and elephants. Visitors can take a guided tour of the zoo or explore it on their own, and there are plenty of picnic areas and restaurants where visitors can relax and enjoy the scenery.

It is only open on Saturday mornings (with occasional night markets), but is worth the trip, offering visitors access to some of the finest artisanal and home-made foods in the city. Much like the Market at the Sheds, entrance is free, but you will definitely want to take some extra money to try out the numerous ready-to-eat meals, breads, cheeses, meats, craft beers and cakes on sale.
