Laundry – the worst chore ever?
Said no one who has been to The Wash Bar at The Fields recently.
We decided to freshen up the concept of laundry – so we added some cool public art, a relaxing place to chill and relax while a bundle is in the wash, and a vending machine for something to snack on as you check out your TikTok feed.
The Wash Bar, located in the student hub of Hatfield, offers an affordable self-service laundromat, and is open to the public 24-hours a day (loadshedding permitting). What makes it even better is that you don’t have to carry any coins with you as The Wash Bar offers easy cashless Zapper payments. A wash will only cost you R30, while you’ll pay R32 per dry*. If you are a resident at The Fields, you’ll receive four complimentary washes and dries per month.
The premises are monitored by CCTV, so late-night washing trips are safe within the precinct and safe and secure on-site parking is also available.
